A highlight at Ferrier is 'Forage Day' where we spend the day foraging and then preparing and eating what we find. Forage Day finds: clams, mussels, salmon, kelp, wild onions, liquorice root, and rice (foraged from the kitchen)

The Journey is a multi week outdoor odyssey around Nootka island in British Colombia. The first week is spent by backpacking the Nootka trail, one of the most rugged and beautiful trails on the west coast. We spend a few days sharpening our skills at wilderness camp Ferrier then launch into the final leg of the trip. Participants paddle down the Esperanza inlet working together against wave and tide to end the journey at the remote community of Esperanza Ministries. Through this challenging adventure teens will discover God, grow in confidence and become a team.

We invite teens 14-18 years old who responsible and physically able. No outdoor experience is necessary, though courage and willingness to learn certainly are.

Price TBD

We are also looking for staff to help run this program. If you are interested or have any questions about the program please email us at:
